A thank you to families and loved ones
NHS Blood and Transplant and The Order of St John have produced a series of short films for families, friends and loved ones of those who have made the decision to save and improve the lives of others with the gift of organ and tissue donation after their death.
These films were created when the Order of St John ceremonies for 2020 and 2021 were sadly cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
There is one film one for each nation of the UK, and they include messages from recipients, clinicians and representatives from the Order of St John and demonstrate the gratitude and appreciation for the most generous and precious gift.

Organ and tissue donation represents thousands of lives and families saved and transformed for the better.
"Add life, give hope" are the words that adorn the Order of St John, and this is exactly what each and every one of those families and loved ones bestow when they consider donation and say "yes".
