Donation Advisory Group National Organ Donation Committee
This Committee group has been established is being revised to complement the changes promoted by the ODTF Organ Donation Task Force, including the employment by NHSBT of Donor Transplant Coordinators Specialist Nurses in Organ Donation (SN-ODs) and the introduction of Clinical Leads for Organ Donation (CLODs). Membership includes representation from all the key national bodies involved in ITU and emergency medicine departments.
The aim of the group is to act as a source of advice and to assist NHS Blood and Transplant in improving and optimising all aspects of organ donation and to develop better communications between NHS Blood and Transplant and the critical care community.
